Electrical Engineer

ebert_dean_front_webMr. Ebert is one of CED’s Electrical Engineers. Mr. Ebert’s experience in electrical engineering comes from a distinguished background in the United States Military and an impressive academic background both as a student and as an instructor in Electrical Engineering. Mr. Ebert holds a M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Naval Postgraduate School a Master of

Science in Management from Troy State University, EA-6B Electronic Countermeasures Officer Course VAQ-129 which he completed in 1994, Electronic Warfare Officer Course which he completed in 1993 and a  B.S., in General Engineering from United States Naval Academy.

In addition to CED, Mr. Ebert is currently an Aviation Requirements Officer for the United States Marine Corps. His responsibilities are to ensure Marine requirements are articulated, vetted, approved, defended, and funded for suitable acquisition programs, for the Marine Corps’ Deputy Commandant for Aviation. He serves as a science and technology coordinator, identifying critical areas for applied research, orchestrating Navy and Air Force Research Lab efforts, and developing programs of interest to Marine Aviation.

Prior to his current duties, Mr. Ebert served as a Electrical Engineering Master Instructor Executive Assistant at the U.S. Naval Academy  where he designed, planned, and taught multiple sections of courses in Electrical Engineering fundamentals and applications, networking, digital logic and computer architecture, impacting over 1000 midshipmen students each year.   As an Executive Assistant, he was also responsible for all department manpower, resources, finances, and procurement, including managing a staff over 40 civilian and military professors, and developing and executing an annual budget exceeding $1million.

In 1995, Mr. Ebert served as an Electronic Countermeasures Officer in the United States Marine Corps. His duties included, Radio Frequency expert for Marine Aviation exercises, contingency operations, and combat missions; responsible for detailed RF threat capability analysis and developed complex mission objectives and profiles for multiple types of aircraft as well as integrating ground forces.
