Biography/Background

Geoffrey Wardman joined CED after working for nearly 20 years in the product design and development sector. After graduating with degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mr. Wardman worked for two years as a design engineer at the Siemon Company where he designed and tested injection molded parts and sheet metal assemblies.

From there, Mr. Wardman took a position as a manufacturing engineer at SVG Lithography – a company that designed and manufactured nanometer precision optical lithography systems for the semiconductor industry. While at SVG he was responsible sustaining engineering and production support of pneumatic systems.

After SVG was acquired by ASML Lithography Inc – Mr. Wardman transitioned from Production Engineering to Development Engineering working as a Mechanical Design Engineer in the Precision Mechanics Group where he designed and tested mechanical components and assemblies for complex mechatronic system. Later, he was promoted to a Senior Design Engineer in the Analysis Group, where Mr. Wardman specialized in finite element analysis and modal testing.

While employed full time at ASML, Mr. Wardman continued his education by first earning a Master’s Degree in Technology Management, and later, a Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on stress analysis and failure mechanics. Upon completion of his graduate studies, Mr. Wardman was invited to teach as an Adjunct Professor at the University of New Haven where he taught Applied Elasticity to undergraduate engineering students.
