Jeffrey C. Richard
Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Jeffrey Richard is the Chief Operating Officer of CED Technologies Inc. Mr. Richard holds a Bachelors Degree from Denison University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Miami.
Prior to joining CED, Mr. Richard has held positions in product development and marketing, computer information systems and mergers and acquisitions. Mr. Richard played a key role in the development of the first (VoIP) Voice over the Internet Protocol trading device for the financial trading industry and is a member of the Professional Usability Professional Association. Mr. Richard’s responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company along with the marketing and strategic planning of the firm.

Doug Hrobak
Douglas Hrobak joined CED in 2004 as a Mechanical Engineer. He has a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and a Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
His credentials include, Certified Mold Inspector and Remediator, obtained from the South Eastern Mold Institute in Panama City, Florida; a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator from the National Fire, Arson and Explosion Investigation Training Program in Sarasota, Florida; and certification as an XL Tribometrist. Mr. Hrobak has experience in performing accident reconstructions, analysis in industrial machinery cases, material failure investigation, water intrusion evaluations and strength of materials determination. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineering, National Fire Protection Association and the National Association of Fire Investigators.

Brian Miills
Brian L. Mills graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. His WVU studies emphasized machine design and industrial process analysis and workflow improvement.
Mr. Mills completed a Master’s of Science in Engineering Management from Walden University with a focus on leadership, program management, and application of innovation and technology. Mr. Mills initially worked for the Power Generation business of the Westinghouse Corporation as a Development Engineer, improving the analytical tools to predict the operational response of loaded rotating shafts. His work at Westinghouse expanded to include machine design and failure analysis of rotating and stationary turbine components to improve performance and reduce cost. Lastly, Mr. Mills was responsible for product support of complex machined components on multi-axis CNC machining centers.

Greg Paulsen
Mr. Paulsen is one of CED’s Mechanical Engineers. Gregory holds both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of South Carolina where he was summa cum laude. Mr. Paulsen is a Certified Plant Engineer and a Certified Training Instructor for Aerial Work Platforms and Rough-Terrain Forklifts.
He was enlisted in the United States Navy for 12 years where he was responsible for operating, repairing, and managing nuclear power plants and personnel. Gregory has also served as Director of Engineering for companies designing and developing industrial processes and refining plants as well as Chief Engineer for a firm that designs, fabricates, and installs industrial water and waste-water facilities. Mr. Paulsen has also held such roles as Senior Design engineer responsible for manufacturing and new product development.

George Wharton
George Wharton crossed paths with CED Investigative Technologies as the corporate representative in a product liability suit. The case resulted in a verdict for the defense and mutual admiration. As a result, Mr. Wharton joined the Western Office of CED as a specialist for industrial accidents.
Mr. Wharton graduated from The Ohio State University with both a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Mechanical Engineering. At Ohio State, his studies emphasized machine design and robotics and he performed research on force feedback for adaptive walking machines. Mr. Wharton worked initially for the Lighting Business of General Electric as a Research Engineer and Project Engineer designing and installing lamp manufacturing equipment. After GE, Mr. Wharton worked for Nutro Corporation for 15 years, serving as Engineering and Quality System Manager and then in corporate roles with Engineering, Production, Sales and Marketing. Nutro is a turnkey systems house, designing, manufacturing and installing custom paint finishing systems. Notable clients include Alcoa, Baldor, Bosch, Fanuc, Kohler, and TRW among many others.

Peter McCawley
Mr. Peter McCawley is the Vice President of CED’s Southeast Region. Mr. McCawley holds a Bachelors Degree in engineering from the United States Naval Academy and a Masters Degree from Georgetown University.
Prior to joining CED, Mr. McCawley served in the US Navy as a naval flight officer in the aircraft carrier-based A-6 Intruder. In addition to his squadron time, Mr. McCawley worked as an engineer at Naval Air Systems command on the Navy’s next generation aircraft. Following his time in the Navy, Mr. McCawley has held positions in technical sales, first in the telecommunications and IT arena, and then in the legal field. In addition to managing the engineers in the Southeast Region, Mr McCawley is responsible for the business development efforts in the region as well.
