Mark T. Kilgore, P.E., is a CED Technologies, Inc. Senior Structural Engineer with a background in structural systems design and analysis, civil site design/ construction and commercial and industrial construction management. Additionally, he taught civil engineering and construction management at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga and Mississippi State University prior to joining CED Technologies. With over 30 years of industry and academic experience, Mr. Kilgore brings a wealth of knowledge to his clients from being involved on a daily basis with owners, design professionals, inspection authorities and insurance companies. He has extensive experience in the inspection of properties that have suffered catastrophic damage from natural disasters such as Hurricanes Hugo, Opal, Katrina and Sandy. Mr. Kilgore served was Principal Engineer for a design/build firm that was primarily involved in Federal Government projects for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Agency, Department of the Interior, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Southeast (NAVFAC SE) and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE). Mr. Kilgore owned and managed a small design-build firm that provided services to national credit tenant clients, financial institution clients, retail and industrial facilities clients as well as consulting engineering services to major real estate firms, the Federal Housing Administration (FHA) and many major financial institutions.
Mr. Kilgore began his career at the Georgia Institute of Technology Engineering Experiment Station in Atlanta, Georgia while completing his undergraduate degree. During that time period, he performed reverse engineering duties, primarily in structural design and analysis of electronic countermeasures radar systems and their associated support and operational systems.
Mr. Kilgore is currently pursuing his Ph.D. in Building Construction Science with emphasis on Building Information Modeling at the University of Florida, Rinker School of Construction.
