Jonathan Walter, Ph.D. wins Editorial Award

Jonathan P. Walter

CED is very proud to announce Jonathan Walter, Ph.D. received an award for his co-authorship of Predictive Simulations of Neuromuscular Coordination and Joint-Contact Loading in Human Gait.  This article was given the Editorial Award from Annals of Biomedical Engineering (ABME) in conjunction with Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) for advancement in the field of biomedical engineering.  Dr. Walter has been working on this research since his time at University of Florida and continued while he was studying at the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Predictive Simulations of Neuromuscular Coordination and Joint-Contact Loading in Human Gait  in summary the article describes joint-contact loading while walking or running.  Using predictive modeling they will be able to more accurately predict future replacement surgeries and better replacement equipment.

BMES serves as the lead society and professional home for biomedical engineering and bioengineering. They are leadership in accreditation, potential licensure, publications, scientific meetings, global programs, and diversity initiatives, and enhance knowledge and education in biomedical engineering and bioengineering worldwide and its utilization for human health and well-being.
