CED Supports the Broward Children’s Center Holiday Party

For the December charity event this year the CED office in Fort Lauderdale, FL selected the beneficent. They chose to donate to the Broward Children’s Center Holiday Party through the Pompano Beach Firefighters Benevolent.

The Pompano Beach Firefighters Benevolent has a mission to provide assistance to those in need by means of financial aid and volunteer services. Tony Gandolf, Director of Business Development in our Fort Lauderdale, FL office, has close ties with this fire department – his wife is a Rescue Lieutenant and part of their Benevolent.

The charity of choice for the Benevolent is the Broward Children’s Center located in Pompano Beach. Since 1971, this center has been providing medical, educational, therapeutic, recreational, daily living, and advocacy services through their network of care to infants, children, and young adults with special healthcare needs.

Every year the Benevolent helps organize the holiday party for the children at the Broward Children’s Center. Firefighters volunteer to dress up as Santa and his elves and visit the Broward Children’s Center and deliver a gift to each and every child at the facility. With the Covid precautions in place this year, they won’t be able to hand deliver the gifts. Instead, they are organizing a parade down the street for the children with Santa and the elves. Each child will still receive a present this year.

The team at CED came together and donated to ensure that these children receive awesome gifts this year and for the next couple of years. CED’s donation will go to a separate fund dedicated to the Broward Children’s Center. Tony and his wife personally participated in the event – wrapping gifts and, as pictured, bringing cheer through the parade. Other photos feature the firefighter of Pompano Beach safely donating presents.

From the team here at CED, we hope everyone has a happy and healthy holiday season and new year!
