CED Technologies, Inc. Announces Formation of Transportation Group

CED Technologies, Inc., a forensic engineering company, is announcing the recent development of an expanded Transportation Group. Formerly known as the Vehicle Crash Group, the new Transportation Group is a team comprised of accident reconstructionists, mechanical engineers, biomechanical engineers, and civil engineers.

Members of the Transportation Group have backgrounds and certifications in accident reconstruction, mechanical engineering, civil engineering, human factors, and biomechanics. The highly skilled experts on this team have specialized knowledge of motor vehicles (passenger vehicles, motorcycles, and commercial trucks), bicycles, off-road recreational vehicles and equipment, rail, material handling equipment, and mining equipment. Kurt Whitling, a Mechanical Engineer in CED’s Cleveland, Ohio office, leads the group.

“We wanted the name of the transportation-focused team to sound more comprehensive and reflect all of our capabilities,” said Whitling. “The old name only gave one small part of the overall picture. Beyond crashes, we have expertise in commercial vehicles, vehicle fires, data downloading and interpretation, mechanical systems, roadway analysis, biomechanics, and much more.”

CED Technologies has been providing engineering expert witness services since 1987. Founded by a group of Naval engineers in Annapolis, Maryland over thirty years ago, the company expanded to offices in Connecticut, Florida, Ohio, and Pennsylvania, with engineers representing multiple specialties.
