Biography/Background:
Michael Ryan McCall graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in 2022 with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He currently serves as a Platoon Leader for the 344th Combat Engineering Company, where he is directly responsible for the counseling and evaluating 40 junior soldiers.
Prior to joining CED, Mr. McCall worked at one of Florida’s leading land development and engineering firms, where he gained fundamental experience in developing plans, site drainage design, site layout, and roadway grading. Concurrently, he became proficient with AutoCAD, BlueBeam, and WaterCAD. Additionally, he gained a strong understanding of state and local requirements and codes.
During his tenure as a Field Engineer at one of the largest construction engineering in the U.S., he oversaw managing all subcontractors, scheduling, quantity tracking, and daily plan organization for a $13.5 million concrete road rehabilitation project on a three-mile stretch of US-1. Additionally, he ensured quality assurance and compliance with FDOT specifications.
As a Project Manager Intern for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, he assisted the project manager in constructing a state-of-the-art $77.9 million middle school project. His responsibilities included reading plans, monitoring subcontractors, keeping the work on schedule, and attending meetings with the Project Manager.
Michael Ryan McCall brings exceptional leadership and problem-solving skills to the CED team, backed by his extensive experience across various fields of civil engineering.
